The Pilot Plant at MARDI Sintok welcomed a group of 50 second-year students from the Chemical Engineering Technology (Food Technology) program, accompanied by four lecturers. The visit aimed to provide students with firsthand exposure to plantation operations and the handling of post-harvest agricultural products available at MARDI Sintok. The program also included insights into various post-harvest treatments, including anti-fungal treatments and fruit ripening processes.
This industry visit was organized to enhance the students' understanding of practical agricultural operations and post-harvest technologies. It was an invaluable opportunity for the students to witness and learn about real-world applications of their academic studies.
A heartfelt thank you to MARDI for hosting this educational visit and providing such enriching experiences for our students.
