To inspire and guide young minds, some academic staff from the Materials Department, Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK) have been invited as guest speakers to deliver an informative session of the Outreach Program to students in form 4 & 5 religious streams in Terengganu.

Participating schools include:
1. Sekolah Menengah Agama Khairiah, Kuala Terengganu
2. Sekolah Menengah Imtiaz Yayasan, Kuala Terengganu

In addition, the academic staff took the opportunity to promote the Program of Diploma of Materials Engineering offered by FKTK.

This initiative serves to provide valuable insight and guidance to students regarding academic and career paths, particularly in the field of materials engineering. By engaging with young students, FKTK's academic staff aims to fuel their interest in pursuing higher education and a career in materials engineering.

Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Luqman Musa, Program Chairman of the Diploma of Materials Engineering, emphasized the importance of such outreach programs, stating, "Engaging students at the secondary level is critical in helping them make informed decisions about their future academic and career paths. Our goal is to inspire and empower these young individuals to explore the exciting opportunities available in materials engineering."

The outreach program not only provides valuable information about the Diploma of Materials Engineering but also offers insights into various career opportunities and industry prospects in the field. Through interactive sessions and discussions, students gain a better understanding of academic requirements and potential career paths in materials engineering.

The participation of FKTK academic staff in the outreach program reflects the faculty's commitment to promoting education and empowering young minds in society.
