4 March 2024

In a proud display of community involvement and environmental responsibility, FKTK organized a highly successful plogging program, serving as a testament to its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), with 91 eager participants joining the cause.

The event, held on 4 March 2024 at Pengkalan Asam Trails Recreational Park aims to promote physical fitness while addressing environmental concerns at the same time by encouraging participants to engage in a unique form of exercise – plogging. Plogging involves jogging or walking while picking up trash and debris along the way, thus combining the benefits of exercise with an environmental cleanup effort.

The program begins with a light warm-up session to prepare the participants for the physical activity to come. Led by the Dean, the participants then embarked on a collective mission to pick up litter and tidy up the footpaths and river banks in the surrounding area.

The active involvement of FKTK staff not only contributes to enhancing the local environment but also cultivates a sense of ownership and responsibility for maintaining cleanliness and litter-free public spaces.

The success of the plogging program highlights the importance of community involvement and collective action in dealing with environmental issues. FKTK thanks all participants for their dedication and commitment to making a positive impact on the environment. Such initiatives serve as a reminder of the power of teamwork and cooperation in creating a cleaner and healthier community for all.
