A workshop on the production of supercapacitors using waste materials and performance testing was successfully conducted, involving fourth-year Materials Engineering students enrolled in the KMJ40903 course (Materials and Energy Applications). The workshop, organized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Banjuraizah Johar, aimed to provide students with hands-on experience and practical knowledge in this innovative field.
The objectives of the workshop included exposing students to the fundamental and simple methods of producing ELDC supercapacitors using readily available materials. It aimed to provide practical learning opportunities for testing the performance of supercapacitors. Additionally, the workshop engaged students in a group competition to produce capacitor cells and test their performance.
The workshop was designed to combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of the production and performance testing of supercapacitors. By using waste materials, the workshop also emphasized sustainability and innovation in material engineering.
Congratulations and thank you to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Banjuraizah Johar for organizing this beneficial workshop. The initiative is expected to greatly enhance the students' practical skills and knowledge, preparing them for future challenges in the field of materials and energy applications.
We hope that such workshops will continue to be conducted, providing valuable learning experiences for students.
