A special STEM program and promotion of the Chemical Engineering program were conducted at SMK Agama Kedah on 7 August 2024. The event was spearheaded by Ts. Ahmad Radi and Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Khairuddin from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP).
The program aimed to ignite students' interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) while providing them with valuable insights into the opportunities and career paths available within the field of Chemical Engineering.
During the session, the team from UniMAP engaged with the students through interactive presentations and hands-on activities, showcasing the dynamic and innovative nature of Chemical Engineering. They also shared information about the university's offerings, particularly the Chemical Engineering program, and its relevance in today’s industrial landscape.
The event was well-received by both students and teachers at SMK Agama Kedah, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among the young participants. The initiative not only strengthened the relationship between UniMAP and SMK Agama Kedah but also played a crucial role in inspiring the next generation of engineers.
This outreach effort aligns with UniMAP’s commitment to promoting STEM education and supporting the development of future engineering talent across Malaysia.
