The Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), celebrated an outstanding achievement at the Malaysia Techlympics 2026 Northern Zone, held at the KHTP Sports Complex, Kulim, Kedah, with students from the Diploma in Polymer Engineering Technology programme securing top honours across multiple competition categories.
In the Ideanovathon Challenge, FKTK students achieved First and Second Place, showcasing their creativity, innovative thinking, and ability to develop ideas through competitive problem-solving. The achievement was further strengthened in the 3D Design Challenge, where FKTK students secured all five top positions, taking First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Place.
Adding to the faculty’s achievements, Ts. Dr. Mohd Hanif bin Mohd Pisal was also honoured with a Special Award at the competition, further highlighting the contributions of FKTK’s academic community in supporting innovation and technological development.
The remarkable results reflect the dedication, technical skills, and innovative spirit of FKTK students, supported by their lecturers and supervisors. Through participation in technology and innovation competitions, FKTK continues to nurture future-ready talents equipped with the creativity, confidence, and practical capabilities to contribute to the advancement of technology and engineering.
