Five students from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), joined a 34-member UniMAP student delegation for an international mobility programme to Riau, Indonesia, from 19 to 24 August 2026. The programme provided students with valuable opportunities to experience international learning, engage with new academic environments and broaden their perspectives beyond the classroom.
Organised by the Faculty of Civil Engineering & Technology, UniMAP, the programme brought the delegation to two prominent institutions, Politeknik Caltex Riau (PCR) and Universitas Islam Riau (UIR). Through a series of academic activities, knowledge-sharing sessions, cultural engagements and community initiatives, the students gained meaningful exposure to different educational practices, local cultures and community experiences.
The participation of Deputy Deans of Student Affairs and Alumni from UniMAP faculties further strengthened the programme as a platform for academic engagement, student development and institutional exchange. For the FKTK students, the experience offered more than international exposure, fostering adaptability, communication skills, cultural understanding and confidence in navigating a globally connected environment.
FKTK extends its appreciation to Politeknik Caltex Riau and Universitas Islam Riau for their warm reception, cooperation and meaningful contributions throughout the programme. The Riau mobility experience reflects UniMAP’s commitment to nurturing globally aware, adaptable and future-ready graduates through learning opportunities that connect academic knowledge with real-world experiences.
