3 December 2024

On 3 December 2024, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK) collaborated with various units within UniMAP, including the Sports and Recreation Centre, PIMPIN, and FKTM, to offer support to elderly residents in Kepala Batas, Kedah, who were affected by recent floods.

Over 30 dedicated volunteers rolled up their sleeves and contributed their time and energy to clean both the interior and exterior areas of the affected homes. The sense of community and teamwork among the volunteers was truly inspiring, as they worked tirelessly to restore a sense of normalcy to the affected residents.

The initiative was further supported by donations of essential supplies such as food, cleaning equipment, and other resources. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Mustafa Al Bakri Abdullah, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of HEPA, UniMAP, for showing his unwavering support to the volunteers and families affected by the floods.

We continue to pray for the well-being and recovery of all those affected by the flood disaster, especially in the northern and eastern regions of Malaysia. May Allah ease the burden of those affected. InsyaAllah.
