The FKTK Student Association UniMAP successfully organized a University Social Responsibility (USR) STEM program in collaboration with Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Padang Melangit, Perlis. This initiative aimed to ignite and enhance interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among school students.
A total of 30 enthusiastic participants from SK Padang Melangit took part in this enriching experience. The activities were held at UniMAP's TVET Centre, where students were introduced to various hands-on STEM exercises designed to make learning engaging and interactive. The program aimed to inspire young minds by exposing them to practical aspects of STEM, making the subjects more accessible and enjoyable.
In addition to the STEM activities, the participants were also given a tour of the Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Library UniMAP, Pauh Putra. This visit provided an opportunity for the students to explore the vast array of learning resources available and to experience the academic environment of a higher learning institution.
The USR STEM program successfully met its objectives, providing students with a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of STEM fields and encouraging them to pursue these areas in their future studies. The collaboration between FKTK students and SK Padang Melangit demonstrated the positive impact of community engagement in education, fostering a sense of curiosity and passion for learning among young students.
Congratulations and thanks to all organizers, facilitators, and participants for their dedication and efforts in making this program a success.
