The Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) proudly welcomed 148 new students into the Bachelor's Degree program for the 2024/2025 academic year. The registration and welcoming event took place at UniMAP’s Pauh Putra campus, where the incoming students were introduced to their new academic environment and the support systems available within the faculty.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for students to become familiar with the executive committee of FKTK, who shared valuable insights about the faculty’s mission, vision, and the educational journey ahead. In addition to meeting the faculty’s leadership, students were also introduced to their Rakan Pendamping Siswa (RPS), peer mentors who will guide and support them throughout their academic journey at UniMAP.
The Dean of FKTK, Prof. Madya Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Firdaus Omar, delivered a motivating welcome speech, encouraging the new students to make the most of the opportunities and resources available at the faculty. He highlighted the importance of engaging with both academic and extracurricular activities to ensure a well-rounded and enriching university experience.
The event marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for these new students, as they embark on their journey toward becoming skilled professionals in the field of chemical engineering. The faculty is confident that this new cohort will continue FKTK’s tradition of academic excellence and contribute positively to both the university and the wider community.
