The 4th International Conference on Science, Engineering, and Technology (ICSET 2024) took place at the Hemangini Hotel, Bandung, Indonesia, co-organized with Universitas Sangga Buana, Institut Teknologi Petroleum Balongan, and Asosiasi Badan Penyelenggara Perguruan Tinggi Swasta, Indonesia. This hybrid conference, which combined both in-person and virtual participation, brought together 73 experts, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe to discuss and advance the fields of science, engineering, and technology.
During the conference, Prof. Dr. Dwiwahju Sasongko from Fakultas Teknologi Industri, Institut Teknologi Bandung, delivered a talk on "Implementation of Clean Coal Technology to Support Energy Transition Toward Net Zero Emission: Case of Indonesia." He discussed the challenges and opportunities in utilizing clean coal technologies to support Indonesia's energy transition and emission reduction goals.
The second keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. Tom Welton, a Professor of Sustainable Chemistry at Imperial College London, United Kingdom, provided insights on "Progress on a Science Policy Panel on Chemicals, Wastes, and the Prevention of Pollution." He discussed the importance of sustainable chemical processes and policy initiatives aimed at reducing environmental pollution.
ICSET 2024 successfully fostered a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange and professional growth, achieving its goal of advancing the fields of science, engineering, and technology.
