July 18, 2023 ; A University Social Responsibility (USR) program was organized at SK Pida Tiga. A Recycling Day program aimed at promoting environmental awareness and the practice of 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). A group of 14 lecturers from the Polymer and Materials Engineering Program at FKTK actively participated in this community initiative.
The joint effort between FKTK lecturers and the school involved various activities, including a recycling exhibition, 3R sports, informative lectures, and more. These activities were designed to educate and raise awareness among the students of SK Pida Tiga and the local community about the importance of the 3R principles.

13 July 2023 ; FKTK recently hosted its inaugural FKTK Excellence Awards Ceremony, which proved to be a resounding success. The event recognized the outstanding achievements of 32 recipients across various categories, with a total of 94 winners being honored.
The ceremony served as a platform to acknowledge and commend the exceptional efforts and achievements of students and staff within FKTK. The recipients of the awards demonstrated remarkable dedication, talent, and contributions in their respective fields, reflecting the high standards of excellence upheld by the faculty.
Amidst the celebration, the event also paid tribute to the invaluable contributions of Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Mustafa Al Bakri Abdullah, the former Dean of FKTK. 31 May 2023 ; In an exciting endeavor to bridge academia and industry, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK) organized a visit to T.H. Mineral Water Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd., located in Kaki Bukit, Perlis. This visit took place as part of the ongoing FKTK Industry Month, dedicated to fostering practical learning experiences for students.
The visit witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 45 final year students specializing in polymer engineering, accompanied by two esteemed lecturers. The primary objective of this visit was to provide invaluable exposure to the students in the realm of the polymer industry, particularly focusing on injection molding machines and plastic blow molding processes.
