UniMAP, in collaboration with SMJK Chung Ling, Pulau Pinang, successfully hosted the University Exploration Program, welcoming 83 STPM students along with five accompanying teachers from the school's Form 6 department to the Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK) campus.
The visit aimed to introduce UniMAP, with a particular focus on the programs offered by the FKTK. During their time at UniMAP, the students engaged in hands-on laboratory activities such as a static project and DNA fingerprinting for spider identification, providing them with a practical introduction to the university's science and technology capabilities.
In addition to the lab activities, the students toured the TVET Centre, the library, and various other parts of the UniMAP campus, gaining a comprehensive overview of the university's facilities and resources.
The event was graced by the presence of the Dean and several faculty members, who interacted with the visitors and provided insights into the academic and research opportunities available at UniMAP.

The Uniciti Alam Splash Run, organized by the FKTK Student Association in collaboration with the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs (HEPA), was a resounding success, with nearly 170 students participating in the event.
Participants enthusiastically took part in the run, enjoying the lively atmosphere and the spirit of camaraderie as they completed the scenic 5 km route amidst the serene greenery. The event aimed to promote fitness and well-being among students while also providing a fun and engaging activity for everyone involved.
A heartfelt thank you and congratulations go out to the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs (HEPA) and the student club for their hard work and dedication in organizing this memorable event. All participants had a wonderful time.

A Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) STEM program was successfully conducted at Sekolah Islah Perlis @ Teratak Rahmat on 8 June 2024. The program was attended by 53 students, school teachers, and staff from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK), UniMAP.
This event aimed to promote STEM education and inspire young minds in the field of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The day was filled with various activities and interactive sessions designed to engage the students and provide them with practical STEM knowledge.
Special thanks were extended to all committee members who dedicated their time, effort, ideas, and sacrifices to ensure the success of this CSR STEM event. The program proceeded smoothly and adhered to the planned schedule. The kindness and dedication of the committee members are deeply appreciated, with hopes that their good deeds will be rewarded accordingly.

The Polymer Engineering Program, Materials Department, Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK) at UniMAP, successfully organized the International Symposium on Polymeric Materials 2024 (ISPM2024). This prestigious event was a collaborative effort with The Plastics and Rubber Institute Malaysia (PRIM) and various local universities, bringing together experts, researchers, and students to discuss the latest advancements in polymeric materials.
The symposium saw the participation of 33 attendees from various institutions. It provided a unique platform for participants to meet, engage, and exchange ideas and experiences in the latest research and development in polymeric materials. Topics covered included new research findings in polymeric materials, polymer composites, rubber technology, and other related areas.
The event was officiated by the Vice Chancellor of UniMAP, adding a significant level of prestige and recognition to the symposium. Renowned experts, researchers, practitioners, and postgraduate students presented their work, highlighting cutting-edge developments and innovations in the field. The event facilitated meaningful discussions and networking opportunities, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants.
In addition to the symposium sessions, participants were treated to a tour of the Harum Manis Farm and the scenic sights of Perlis, providing them with an enriching cultural experience alongside their academic engagement.

Dr. Muhammad Faiq and Ts. Ahmad Radi from Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology UniMAP conducted a successful promotional program for recent SPM graduates at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Mata Ayer, Perlis.
The event aimed to provide insights and information about the Chemical Engineering program at UniMAP, encouraging students to consider this field for their future studies. Representatives from UiTM Arau, Institut Latihan Perindustrian, Institut Kemahiran MARA, Kolej Komuniti, and Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara also participated in the program, showcasing a variety of educational pathways available to the students.
We look forward to seeing many of these bright young minds join us at UniMAP for their undergraduate studies in the future. Let's embark on a journey in engineering together!
