November 20, 2023, the FKTK Young Engineer Program was conducted, involving 80 students from Forms 1 and 2 of SMK Paya Kemunting, Jitra, accompanied by eight teachers, held at the Pauh Putra campus. The program included various activities:
✅ STEM briefing by FKTK researcher, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Midhat Nabil
✅ Sharing session from FKTK alumni, Miss Nursyaqina Sufian, an Engineer at Exxonmobil
✅ STEM activities (construction & rocket launching)
✅ Visit to the Library
The program was inaugurated by the Deputy Dean of Academic & Research, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohamad Syahmie. Gratitude was extended to the committee members, staff, and participating students.
The aim of this program is to inspire an interest among students in the field of Science & Technology.

28 October 2023 ;The grand ceremony of the 2023 Student Excellence Awards (MAGES 2023) was held in splendor, recognizing 280 students for their outstanding academic achievements in Semester 1 & 2 of the 2022/2023 academic session at DK3, Pauh Putra Campus. The event was officiated by the Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK), Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Firdaus Omar, and was graced by the presence of the faculty's executives.
During the ceremony, prestigious awards were presented, including the Academic Hope Award, HEPA Award, and promotional awards, acknowledging students with the highest CGPAs, active engagement in HEPA activities, and outstanding promotional videos. The event was organized by the FKTK Student Association and was also streamed live on Facebook.
Congratulations to all award recipients and appreciation to the organizers. May their achievements serve as inspiration for future students, both academically and otherwise. Well done and thank you to everyone involved in making this event a success.

25 July 2023 ; The Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK) recently held an orientation session for Diploma in Materials Engineering’s intake. This marks the participation of 90 enthusiastic students for the program, warmly welcomed to UniMAP.
FKTK congratulates these students for being the pioneer group of Diploma in Materials Engineering program at UniMAP.

July 18, 2023 ; A University Social Responsibility (USR) program was organized at SK Pida Tiga. A Recycling Day program aimed at promoting environmental awareness and the practice of 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). A group of 14 lecturers from the Polymer and Materials Engineering Program at FKTK actively participated in this community initiative.
The joint effort between FKTK lecturers and the school involved various activities, including a recycling exhibition, 3R sports, informative lectures, and more. These activities were designed to educate and raise awareness among the students of SK Pida Tiga and the local community about the importance of the 3R principles.
With their expertise in the field of polymer and materials engineering, the FKTK lecturers played a vital role in imparting knowledge and practical insights on effective waste management and recycling practices. By actively engaging with the community and nearby industries, the lecturers' expertise continues to bring significant benefits to both the community and the industry.

13 July 2023 ; FKTK recently hosted its inaugural FKTK Excellence Awards Ceremony, which proved to be a resounding success. The event recognized the outstanding achievements of 32 recipients across various categories, with a total of 94 winners being honored.
The ceremony served as a platform to acknowledge and commend the exceptional efforts and achievements of students and staff within FKTK. The recipients of the awards demonstrated remarkable dedication, talent, and contributions in their respective fields, reflecting the high standards of excellence upheld by the faculty.
Amidst the celebration, the event also paid tribute to the invaluable contributions of Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Mustafa Al Bakri Abdullah, the former Dean of FKTK. He is now serving as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni) UniMAP. His remarkable leadership and dedication to the growth and advancement of FKTK were recognized and celebrated during the ceremony.
