Professor Dr. Mohd Mustafa Al Bakri Abdullah presented a public lecture titled “Geopolymer Revolution: Fundamentals and Potential Advanced Applications in Sustainable Technology” at the Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Chancellery Auditorium, UniMAP Pauh Putra Campus.
The lecture was attended by UniMAP staff and representatives from both local and international institutions of higher learning. Among the attendees were close associates of Professor Dr. Mohd Mustafa, making the event even more meaningful.
This momentous occasion not only provided a platform for knowledge sharing and expertise exchange but also highlighted the significant contributions of UniMAP’s academic community toward advancing the university, the state, and the nation.

A group of 30 Year 3 students (The Junior, RY21), accompanied by their lecturers Dr. Noorul Najwa, Dr. Kunasundari, and Dr. Amin Rukaini, had the opportunity to embark on an industrial visit to Fermpro Factory, Perlis, as part of their KMK32204 (Upstream & Downstream Processing Technology) course.
The visit was warmly received by Fermpro’s Manager, Mr. Ng Hock Hoo, who provided insightful guidance throughout the session. Students gained valuable knowledge and practical exposure to the upstream and downstream processing technologies implemented at Fermpro, enhancing their understanding of real-world industry operations.
This three-hour visit served as an integral part of the teaching and learning process, offering students an engaging, hands-on experience that bridges theoretical concepts with industrial applications.

The Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK) successfully organized the 'Tautan Kasih Program' for Diploma in Materials Engineering students, with a vibrant turnout of 150 first- and second-year students.
Held at the UniMAP Sports & Recreation Center, the program aimed to strengthen the relationships between students and academic staff while fostering camaraderie and a sense of pride for the university.
The day was packed with engaging activities, starting with a relaxing trekking session, followed by a meet-and-greet with RPS (Rakan Pendamping Siswa). Students also competed in a "MasterChef" challenge, participated in outdoor games, and gained valuable life skills through a “water confidence” session conducted in collaboration with the Perlis Fire and Rescue Department.
This program not only served as a platform for bonding among students and staff but also encouraged the spirit of teamwork and unity within the FKTK community.
May the bonds of friendship and loyalty among students, staff, and UniMAP continue to flourish. FKTK Strong!

The Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK) successfully held the Student Association Installation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 session, marking the formal appointment of 34 students as members of the Student Association's executive committee.
The event saw the presentation of official appointment letters, which were handed out by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Firdaus Omar, Dean of FKTK, symbolizing the responsibility entrusted to the student leaders for the upcoming term.
Also in attendance were the Deputy Dean of HEPA (Student Affairs and Alumni) and committee members from the Activity & Welfare Unit of HEPA, who joined in celebrating this important milestone for the faculty.
The 34 appointees, comprising the executive committee and exco members, will spearhead activities and initiatives aimed at fostering a vibrant student community while representing FKTK on various platforms.
