The Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK) proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of two of its academic staff, Mdm. Siti Salmi Samsudin and Dr. Syarifah Nuraqmar Syed Mahamud, who were awarded Second Place (Runner-Up) in the Immersive Learning Experience Category at the Anugerah Kecemerlangan Rekabentuk Kurikulum dan Penyampaian Inovatif (AKRI) 2025.
This recognition marks a remarkable milestone for FKTK, showcasing the faculty’s continuous commitment to excellence in teaching innovation and student-centered learning. Congratulations to the Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK) for once again securing First Place among faculties with the highest student voter turnout, achieving an impressive 87.33% participation rate in conjunction with the UniMAP Student Leadership Election for the 2025/2026 session.

The Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK) successfully hosted a Visiting Lecture Talk Session featuring Puan Noor Shazneena Ishak from Bio-Angle Vacs. The session was organized by the teaching team of the course KMK42003 – Issues & Commercialization in Biotechnology, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zarina Zakaria and Dr. Amin Rukaini Mustafa.
The talk provided valuable industry insights, particularly on biotechnology commercialization and current trends, offering students a clearer understanding of real-world applications beyond the classroom. The session was well-attended by students enrolled in the course as well as several lecturers, reflecting the faculty’s strong commitment to bridging academic learning with industrial exposure.

The new students were greeted with enthusiasm by faculty members and staff, marking the beginning of their academic journey at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). The Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), successfully hosted the FKTK Excellence Awards 2024 in conjunction with the Closing Ceremony of FKTK Fitness & Patriotism Month 2025. The event was filled with energy, appreciation, and unity among faculty members.
The ceremony served as a platform to celebrate the achievements and dedication of the FKTK community. A total of 83 staff members were recognized for their outstanding performance and contributions throughout the year, while 11 students received the FKTK Excellence Award (Student Category) 2024 for their academic and co-curricular excellence.
In addition, the Red House was crowned Faculty Champion, earning the highest cumulative score across six sporting events held during the month-long Fitness & Patriotism activities.
This celebration not only honored excellence but also reinforced teamwork, wellness, and love for the nation — key values that define the FKTK spirit.
Heartfelt appreciation goes to the organizing committee for their hard work and dedication in making the event a success. Congratulations to all award recipients and to the entire FKTK family for their continuous pursuit of excellence!
