November–December 2025
In response to the severe floods that struck Perlis at the end of November and early December, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (FKTK), UniMAP mobilised a dedicated Volunteer Mission (Siri 1–4) to support affected members of the community.
Across the four volunteer rounds, FKTK staff and students worked together to clean and restore the homes of seven FKTK staff members impacted by the floods. The assistance included debris removal, house cleaning, and restoring basic living spaces to ensure the affected families could return to a safer and more comfortable environment.
In addition, the FKTK volunteer team extended their efforts to Sekolah Menengah Sains Tuanku Syed Putra (SMSTSSP). The focus of the operation was the cleaning of the school’s gymnasium, sports room, and hostel office, all of which were significantly affected by floodwaters.
This mission reflects the strong spirit of solidarity, compassion, and community responsibility among the FKTK family. The faculty extends its heartfelt appreciation to all volunteers who stepped forward to serve during this difficult time.
Together, we rise stronger.
